@DeeDeeChainey My social is largely x-rays of a creative process, a photographing of shadows. Even at that level I expect a degree of slack. First drafts are rarely perfect.

@DeeDeeChainey I’m sure some of the pointing out is meant as helpful, but doing that in public always has a degree of shaming in it. Sometimes, I think the shaming is actually the point. It may seem trivial, but it’s an attitude that does bully many people away from writing.

@DeeDeeChainey And as you say, that leaves some people isolated, unable to express themselves without fear of ridicule and silences a raft of wonderful, diverse voices that make our lives and social media such a pleasure.

@DeeDeeChainey As an old and grumpy man who believes we get the timelines we deserve, I can cope and I can block if needed, I do feel the burn of anger first fired in childhood for your relative and all those like her.

@DeeDeeChainey Words are connective tissue. The magic of manifesting the invisible storms in our heads and there are days when I just shout: “F*** spelling!” at the page and ignore those who feel the need to try and make me feel some shame about the dyslexia/strokes.

@TheLutenist1 @circusking Here’s a thing I don’t say often enough. I know Hookland may look ramshackle and thrown together, but there is plan and thought and dream at every level of it. That words are alchemised into other forms, into beauty was always dream and plan for the county and this is it manifest
