@LondonTomboy @NeolithicSheep Some specifics. The Queen is not a witch. She has Royal magicians for doing your actual occult business. Her right to swans is theoretical and she only claims it on the river Thames. If she tried it elsewhere there would be a lot of swan claiming going on.

@LondonTomboy @NeolithicSheep While the Queen has disliked many witches – e.g. the Iron Witch AKA Thatcher – this doesn‰Ûªt seem to be a pattern of witch intolerance, just not liking certain malignant numpties.

@LondonTomboy @NeolithicSheep Hookland, as a county palintine where royal prerogative was ceded to the Bishops of Weychester, has not been included in the Crown‰Ûªs swan malarkey for several centuries.

While I wish everyone who celebrates #Spooktober a happy season, Hookland will not be doing anything special for it given the county‰Ûªs year-round setting is an uneasy navigation across the ghost soil where the comfort of old horrors is given against the new terrors of the modern.

To the children, they are the bones of a wood sprite. No adult wishes to contradict them, to erode their sense of awe in the world. If you ask where is the power in folklore, I tell you it is here. In adults wishing to still feel as these children. – #MattAdams #FolkloreThursday https://t.co/IGLreSA4KA
