Day Six of the #HooklandChristmasTree decoration is the placing of the Prophetic Pig AKA as the Hollering Hog of Highwood. The porcelain porker is reminder of legend that in 1638, a pig gained the power of speech and therefore avoided being slaughtered for the festive feast.

@LindaQuesinber2 Views of Hookland characters may not be those of those of the author and also, we are all always still learning which means patronisation is never something that should be given a break.

I hear the song of the stream. I hear every coin and clay idol given to it in sacrifice. All the times it nearly died in drought, all the times it wore ice. I walk it as a witch and its telling flows into me. – #EmilyBanting, 1981 https://t.co/OvFdSc8Dxl

@SefC_ @mattgorecki Psychogeography has become in many cases an academic and art language of exclusion which insists on theory ahead of people’s own experience of place.

@SefC_ @mattgorecki I’m from a simple place – Essex – where psychogeogrpahy is how place makes you feel, the Drift moving around and noting how place makes you feel. I suspect many of the Situationists would be appalled at the commodification of psychogeography.
