The church calls them ‘savage superstitions’. This is always the way with the church. Any challenge to its power must be called ‘primitive’, made into a thing monstrous. Yet these savage superstitions, these feral beliefs, are the sustainment of many a community. – #CLNolan

@ClubberSpang Twitter is like your pub. Who you let in, who you drink with – it says a lot about you. You’d hear the same from me if it were an actual pub. The approach is honest, direct, puts cards on table and works well as it saves me from associating with those clapping the Trump family.

@ClubberSpang You can see it as a snub or you can see it as someone having the guts to tell you that you are not welcome rather than keeping schtum for the sake of follower numbers. Wouldn’t you rather unvarnished truth?

@ClubberSpang Diversity of opinion is grand, but after 30 years of writing books about conspiracy theories, I’ve had enough of that clap-trap. Diversity of opinion is there at speaker’s corner, the wonderful world of politics, but not in this snug. No nationalist numpties served here.
