@Beegrrrl @chrispatten13 @andypaciorekart I will tell you a secret. I often get kitchen cabinets banging, things knocked off worktops, things knocked over. I‰Ûªd blame the cat but he is asleep beside me. Now I could think it was malign magic and something nasty, but I have decided it is ghosts from across the alley.

@Beegrrrl @chrispatten13 @andypaciorekart The school over there managed to kill two children in the Victorian period and there‰Ûªs a Roman villa and plague pit under it, but I choose to think of any strangeness as naughty child ghosts. I tell them off, pay them some attention and it stops.

@Beegrrrl @chrispatten13 @andypaciorekart I have often found that choosing the narrative is the best way for controlling the high strangeness aside from the methods of shutting it down.

I am sorry I could not do a #HooklWatch today. I am just too poorly. I will try to restart tomorrow/when I am a little better. PLEASE do not like or retweet this tweet. I’ll just take good wishes as implied and a lot of energy will be saved.

How does one lift a curse? In Hookland there is old tradition of doing so by buying an object from a beggar or blighted pedlar at twice its value. In acts of kindness, a ladder to climb out of malign magics. – #CLNolan

Ghosts ringing 999 isn‰Ûªt an officially recognised problem, but the emergency service operators of Hookland know better. Know the regular calls of sobbing and whispered pleading that are traced back to lines that long ago ceased to be live. Spirit static, trauma undissipated.
